Yikes. I'm clearly an outlier on this book.
Vivian was just too awful almost all the time. I have no idea how Jules found anything in her personality that was redeeming enough to want to do more than have sex with her. And, for Jules, that sex didn't seem very rewarding.
I'm not a huge fan of DWP fanfic - which this clearly is - but in the others I've read, we see something that makes the ice queen character softer than she seems to those who don't see that bit of her. Vivian had nothing that softened her. At all. I don't get the appeal.
To be fair, I think this sense of awfulness wasn't helped by my listening to the audiobook. Abby Craven didn't have much else to work with so nearly every word Vivan uttered - and Simon, too, for some reason - sounded like she was super pissed off and/or disgusted. Hard to feel any warm and fuzzies for an asshole...
I'm glad I got this one from Hoopla with my library card and not a credit from Audible.

I listened to the audiobook and hated the narrator's choices. I wasn't a fan of the story--the power imbalance was too much and I could not see what Jules saw in Vivian that made her think it could last, but I wanted to see where it went.
