Lethal (The Disciples Book 1) by Cassandra Robbins is a motorcycle romance novel. This was my first book by this author and I have read almost every book since. One of my favorite genres is MC romance. I like them dark, raw, gritty, and rough (the men and the story). This book has all that. I enjoy the world building in this book because you meet different members of the club, see the clubhouse and are introduced to the life of the MC. The plot is engaging and exciting bringing in the main characters but also all the others we will see in later books.
Blade (Jason) is the president of a ruthless MC gang and of course a ladies man. Eve is a strong and independent woman who really does not have much. Unfortunately she is traded in an arrangement to Blade as a pay off. Instead of the usual being passed around the club she is now claimed by Blade.
I loved this book with the raw emotions and the way that these two had such electric chemistry. I recommend this to anyone who loves MC books.

By 50% in I knew I wasn’t gonna like the rest of thebook. It was freaking long and the H was a jerk and kind of abusive. Nothing hot about him.

I liked this much more than my first foray into MC romance. It veered strongly enough into schmoopy that it became a little ridiculous, and it needs better proofreading, but I thought a lot of things were well done. In particular, Blade and Eve were interesting characters and had a unique dynamic that I liked. Overall, not memorable but fun.

This would have been a 5 star read but unfortunately the books needs some proof reading. It was hard to get past some of the grammar errors to understand the context but I can overlook this as the plot was juicy.

I rarely read a book where both the hero and heroine are so flawed. He is an unrepentant as$ and she is a little liar, but it works for them. I just loved this book... really loved it. I was shocked, angry, tense, angry, sad, scared, angry and finally found a bit of peace. Boy did I run the gauntlet of emotion. This was basically the perfect MC read. I highly recommend it.

Lastly, I never give away a spoiler so I will just say there is an emotional and bonding moment at the end of this book, and it was the best written moment ever!

Great Story

Lethal is the first book in the Disciples MC series and follows the President Blade/Jason and his interest Eve as they navigate the water's after he takes her from her father to pay a debt. Eve has just turned 18 and Blade shows up at the place where her father and brother are parked with the carnival. Her father and brother distribute drugs for the Disciples when they are in town and Eve's brother, Benny, took off with 10K of the Disciples money. So Blade takes Eve as his payment. They have a turbulent relationship because she is young and is upset about the circumstances, but also headstrong. These two have chemistry right from the first time they met when she was sixteen. Ends right into the next book....

This was my first book by Cassandra Robbins and I'm looking forward to more.

Jason and Eve had an instant chemistry, even if it took Jason forever to admit it to himself. I loved his alpha side and the moments he let a bit of his sweetness show. Eve was a wonderful sassy, spitfire that I adored. I loved these 2 and this MC, I'm officially obsessed. I'm excited to read Atone
