Would you summon a Duke of Hell to help you navigate your love life? I probably would.

This is a lot different from the Webtoons I usually read via the app, but I am so happy I gave this one a chance! The mix of wry humor and absurdity (and quite concerning oblivious behavior from the main character) makes for an entertaining story. I definitely recommend for adult audiences who don't mind satire and a story that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I appreciate Webtoon Book Group and NetGalley for giving me access to this e-arc.

TL;DR
The vibes were good, definitely recommend, I remember the MC’s names but probably won’t re-read.

Cry Rating:
0 tears all around but I laughed a lot.

General:
Is this dude evil or is he just d*mb? Which one am I talking about? All of them. I have so many questions and think it is well worth the next book to get answers. It was a fun way to pass time with some laughs. The art was one of the best parts.

Got access to this via NetGalley. Was really intrigued by the premise/cover - shy teen summoning a demon to help him get the courage to speak to his crush. While that’s technically accurate when it comes to the plot, it’s also not at all what I expected in many ways. It has potential and humorous parts for sure, but it felt way more unfinished than I expected. It also jumped around a bit in a way that was more confusing/jarring than helpful. I didn’t hate it, but wished it had lived more up to the expectations I had going in from the cover and description. Overall I enjoyed it, but not enough to seek out the rest of the story, unless it was in a bit more of a polished format.

Thank you NetGalley, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, and WEBTOON Unscrolled for this arc!

I absolutely loved this silly little book. The deadpan humour was just spot on, and such a fun thing to read right now. Perfectly fun and mindless (in a great way!) for my tired brain, working customer service during the holiday season. The art was fun, the story interesting, and I'm really looking forward to reading more!

Unfortunately not good, I wouldn’t continue reading this series for free via ARC, Webtoon, or library.

There is almost no story; the main character summons a demon in the first panel and asks him to help him get a girlfriend. The demon says no I can like mind control her but that’s it basically, MC asks for advice, demon is like uh???? MC breaks the contract because he thinks it’s not helpful. But the MC can still use the demon’s powers? Which appear to just be arms coming out of the ground randomly. Super unclear.

It was a fun premise but it’s really unstructured and jumps between characters frequently and seems to focus on being random without forward movement or character development. But it’s random without being funny so it’s 200+ pages of not much.

Don’t recommend, this is the first ARC of a manga, webtoon, or graphic novel I’ve gotten and not liked thus far.
If you’re curious, try checking out a few free chapters on Webtoon and see if you’d enjoy it, before committing to spending money on it.

Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell Volume One by unfins was a funny, unserious comic that followed the main character who summons a demon to talk to his crush! The art style was very meme-ish and it made me laugh. The story caught me off guard and then I finished it in a few hours! I couldn't put it down.

Thank you Netgalley and Webtoon for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It's a webtoon that at first heavily leans on meme humor. The plot zips along with a great pace and introduces a lot of new characters. It doesn't do much with the form, but it's more cleveer than funny.

Hahaha, ok this is quite unique and funny. The art is very interesting and I wasn't a big fan at first, but it really did grow on me. The story is unique and funny, I definitely had some laugh out loud moments. I like where this is going and would be really interested to see where the story is taken.

Thank you to NetGalley, unfins, and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
