Good for readers that like medium stakes YA fantasy with sapphic mc’s 🤭 this was a cool quick read about three demon slaying sisters with a focus on the youngest sister Neve and her storyline.

Absolutely great read! Anything related to mythology and I'm in! I haven't fully explored Irish Mythology so this was somewhat new information to take in and it makes me want to learn more.
I loved Neve, Bay, Mercy, Alexandria, and the whole ensemble! The diversity was amazing to see in this book and I absolutely loved the friendship and relationship found within these pages.
Can't wait for the sequel!

She can’t wait for her 18th birthday, when she’ll finally shed her humanity and grow into her divine power as a Morrigan.
But Alexandria, the new girl, throws a wrench in her plan. Alexandria gets Neve to participate in some of the “normal” things that teenagers do. Including falling in love for the first time. When Neve realizes that Alexandria might be tied to the demons her and her sisters fight, she’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. Even if it puts everything she’s ever known at risk.

Fair warning, though, this is the start to a new series, and it ends on a pretty big cliffhanger. Don’t say I didn’t warn you before jumping in!
Though I don’t actually know a ton about Celtic mythology, I was engrossed in this book from the beginning. Neve has such a strong voice, which makes it easy to jump into this book. There’s kind of a lot that needs to be established for this world, but Fay doesn’t make it feel too info-dumpy. It feels natural with the story, which isn’t always easy to do with fantasy books!
The romance at the center of the book is also well-written. Neve and Alexandria have great chemistry, and I love how she gets Neve to actually participate in teenager things. She folds her into a new little friend group, and they are all just great together. I can’t wait to read more about them in the next book.
Absolutely can’t wait to read the sequel!
