It was a good concept, but not a great book. And the ending...oy. I think I got a cavity.

Um...an odd book to be sure. I couldn't sympathize with the characters and felt like I just wanted to hurry up and finish the story. The storyline was simply unbelievable. Probably would have better been classified under fantasy. Don't get me wrong, the story was well-written and mildly interesting, but something about it just didn't strike a chord with me. Guess I'm not a fan of multitudes of miraculous divine interventions at precisely the right moment.

Ho Hum, never got compelling. Characters didn't seem real, but yet I made it through. Some parts just felt more like I was being preached at to adopt a dog and that the story line was secondary, kind of a means to get the cause out. I read it because it had been sitting on my bookshelf for too long and now I can get rid of it.

Just figured out that I'm not a Koontz fan. This is the 1st (and most likely last) Koontz book I read. Everything just seemed too predictable.
