This is the most engrossing and entertaining book I’ve read this year. It’s emotional, superbly paced, and endearingly woolly in parts. Highly recommend it.

The book gripped at the beginning. To say that there’s a lot going on in the book would be an understatement. But as the story progressed, I felt a sense of emotional whiplash with every new development, detail, and traumatic event to the point that I I found myself exhausted and drudging through the book about halfway through.

The writing is really good and I think the story was told well. I just felt no joy while reading it. Not quite "trauma-porn", but everything just kept getting worse and darker and idk. Don't recommend if you want a fun read.
