I don't know what to say about this story. I really enjoyed reading it, I do think it's a book that you need to take your time reading to really enjoy, not rush it. The Count of Monte Cristo is slow for about the first 700 pages. I know it's a lot to get through, but once through, it starts to pick up. I have mixed feelings about it. As far as Classics go, it is my favorite (so far). The ending was a little disappointing, mainly because I got it confused with a different book. It should really be required reading for high schools. There are lots of topics/themes that can be discussed, and really makes you think about situations and what you would do or how you would react in the same situations. There are some things I didn't care for, but those have to do with my beliefs (not in a bad way). Like what is right, what's wrong. I do recommend this book as a must-read, especially if you like classics and revenge stories.

Rarely is there a book where I’m satisfied with how the book ended, but this is one of them. A must read. What a journey.
