Effie and her aunt's are back. In second book, Effie's back from break and Barrett didn't return her calls over the holiday. Turns out there's a new girl in town, and Barrett's been helping her settle in. 

As Effie copes with her jelousy, something is a foot in the neighborhood. One street corner is plagued with accidents. Can Effie learn how to expand her crcke of friends? Can they work together to solve the mystery at the intersection before anyone gets hurt?

This was a sweet read. I think I liked the first book a little better. That said, this book is charming, well-plotted, and engaging. The world building is on point, and the illustrations are lovely.
