This book really grabbed me. Kids are in danger. My least favorite plot device, but it's a great story filled with nightmares for both parents and children.

This is shaping up to be a great series. The characters are fresh and complex and alive. Unlike some series, in this world things change and there are real stakes to events. I like the fact that this heroine will make the foolish decision and go up against a force she has no chance of beating because someone has to try.

Wow, this book was intense and really good. I love the Luidaeg in this one. I love her relationship with Toby!

It is reminds me of:

This book once again starts with several people asking Toby for help and sending her into mortal danger. Toby is eager to run into said mortal danger - not only to save children kidnapped by the wild hunt but also because she has a bit of a death wish
Spoilerfurther spurred on by meeting her own death incarnate, her Fetch
.

I thought the story was compelling and I pretty much listened to the audio all day to finish. I really like Toby, though sometimes I wanted to hit her upside the head (as did many of her friends). Sometimes I felt really irritated with the people asking Toby to risk her life while only providing her half-truths.
SpoilerSeriously Luna?

More great characters were introduced! This is one of the real strengths of the series- very interesting characters. This book had lots of exciting and scary action scenes, lots of crazy fae, and loyal friends. Romance is a big ? so far. I'm looking forward to the next book.

SpoilerMy thoughts on the romance. I find Conner to be such a sad person, obviously he is in a horrible situation. Either way I don't think he would be a good match for Toby unless he grew some serious backbone. Tybalt seems the obvious guy for her at this point, though he is not very consistently there for her, but he's still there when she really needs him. Plus he is sexy as hell.
My fingers are crossed they get and stay together. Relationships in long series like this make me nervous
