Definitely aided by Sparknotes and the Netflix adaptation of this to fully get to grips with all of the characters and plot. Overall enjoyable but did feel like a bit of a slog in places. Obviously adored the yearning between Anne and Frederick.

Adorable. Much more true to life events than other Austen novels.

This could very well have been a 5/5 if it were a bit longer (around a hundred more pages I reckon). That extra length would have, imo, given some of the side characters more room to grow and develop. As it is, there are certain characters who feel a bit flat. Still a great read though.

First read of Jane Austen's works, and it was so miraculous, so fun, and so likeable
