We can all learn how to be better creatures by watching and caring for animals. This was a lovely little book- one I could have read in a day if I weren’t reading 6 other books at the same time. Who knew I would wish I could build a relationship with an octopus? They seem otherworldly and amazing and this book made me tear up at the death of one. Now I need to go hug my dogs.

Very sweet stories about creatures and our connections to them. It reminds me how full of life the earth is, and where there is life there is learning.

I do love the content of this book and I appreciated the use of language to describe such big ideas. I guess my issues lied in the tense: mostly reflective writing and it never felt active for more than a page. That’s my own preference, I still think people should read it if it piques their interest.
