I can’t wait for more Ares!

I’m obsessed with this found family! Ares is the perfect addition to The Fallen clan and I can’t wait to watch him grow over the course of these books! Giana Darling has the literary power to move me to tears more often than I care to admit. She has me so invested in this storyline that I feel like I’m a part of it!

Guardian monster for the win!

There will never come a day when I tire of reading about Daddy Zeus. He is larger than life and intricately woven together with a blend of toughness and kindness. His love for LouLou, his children and The Fallen are the stuff of legend. I can't say much more or I will end up giving the secrets of this story away and you guys do not want that to happen.

Read this book! Dive back into the world of Daddy and Lou. Experience a Garro Christmas miracle and all the joy of the season.

Super short, but it was great to get the story for how Ares came to join the Fallen family! I loved getting more of Daddy Zeus too!

“I wasn’t sure I’d ever fallen in love at first sight. Falling in love with Zeus had been a gradual thing, like a seed planted in my soul at six years old that grew into an immovable, majestic oak as time marched on and the connection between us never waned. But looking at that boy with his thick lashed eyes and troubled mouth, I knew I’d love him until the day I died if he let me.”

I’m not crying. You’re crying.
We get a Christmas novella from Zeus and Lou and the gang. And an introduction to Ares.
Oh my heart. I’m a softie and emotional mess when it comes to children.
Ares is my new weakness in this series I think. I hope we get more information on his background. And I really hope that we get to see him more as I continue to read the series from Gianna Darling.

This was a perfect and quick novella to read.

A Powerful, Awww Inducing Punch in a Tiny Package...

Well this book was unexpected, because here I thought the "surprise" was going to be a puppy lol...

After the hard core emotional rollercoasters contained in the first two books of Giana Darling's, The Fallen Men, series this one was a lovely little interlude that completely caught me off guard! Officially book 2.5 of the series, "Fallen Son" takes place during the Christmas between the epilogue of Zeus and Lou's story and that of Harleigh Rose and Danner's tale. It is a sweet and sassy little novella, containing all of the sharp witted, banter filled dialog, and introspective prose I have come to know and love from Darling. However, this one exerts an unexpectedly powerful punch and paves the way for what I hope are countless books to come!

I am not going to write the typical run down I usually provide in my Sadt Cookie book reviews as this book is a brief three chapter literary side trip, and so jam packed I would give too many things away. But just know this, "Fallen Son" is a heart jerker. Also, this little gem contains a plot pivot so surprising you will scramble to read the next available books in the series and then beg for more.

The Fallen MC... What an absolutely wonderful way to begin 2021!
