Well, I didn’t have high expectations for this book but it served its purpose. I have been reading heavy world building fantasy and it definitely was a a quick palette cleanser if that’s what you’re after. It’s like a slightly more adult Twilight. Still as poorly written, very little smut (a little more) and basically the introduction of a normal human into the world of vampires and the a world she doesn’t fit in and is extremely dangerous for her. Sound familiar right? The story does try and make it more interesting with the introduction of The Rites. A process Thea will have to go through if she wants to be with her vamp, but it’s all quite boring and is very much like a hallmark Christmas movie or a channel 5 film. Enjoy it for what it is but don’t expect too much and you’ll be fine.

Wow! Forget pompous Fae and all their tiresome wars for a while and dive into the Vamp world! This book was a lot of fun! honestly? loved this so much! Fantastic first book in a series of 4 eagerly awaiting to read the next one!
