Happy to be back on this series again. This was a short but sweet entry to Alcatraz vs. The Evil Librarians.

Easily the strongest of these so far, IMO. If I was in the target audience for these books, Sanderson doing Snicket-esque form experimentation would have been very exciting for me. The concept of two warring nations putting each other's soldiers into medically-induced comas that only they can wake them up from is a delightful way to keep the series bloodless for a middle-grade audience while creating its own stakes.
Genuinely fun little popcorn read for me as an adult and I think there's a reality where Brandon did a lot more of these. I would have loved to see that reality!

Un gran comienzo (ese capítulo de las citas de Shakespeare es para enmarcarlo) que pierde fuelle conforme avanza el libro. Si bien es cierto que se citan más cosas importantes para la historia general que en los anteriores, parece que le cueste engarzarlos en la trama, que avanza con menos ritmo del habitual (y el abuso habitual de los Deus ex machina o, en este caso, Deus ex talento).
Todo esto sin perder de vista que se trata de un libro para un público juvenil, y que cumple bastante bien (a mi hija mayor la ha dejado comiéndose las uñas esperando a que traduzcan el quinto libro).
