I don't know how to feel about this book, it took me quite a long time to get into it, and then even when I was reading it, I didn't read for too long. It was a different type of book so that probably didn't help. I liked the twists and turns, however, I felt that the plot didn't really start until halfway through the book and by then I was already bored. I don't feel that it needed all 500 pages that it had.
That being said, I liked Amelia's character and from the little that we saw of Rhyme's too.
I feel that the Southern setting of the book made it hard to visualise with mentions of marshes and the landscape (coming from someone who lives in Australia)
