It was good, loved the story. It reminded me a lot of The Shadows Between Us, my only main critique is how quick the ending of the curse was. I felt like there was no build up and it happened so fast I had to go back reread it.
I hope there’s more to the story of Elaine and Raphael

I love Felix and Arabella. They are such an odd pair that really bring out the best in one another. Felix, geez I feel bad for him, that curse is insanely evil and seemingly for no reason other than his parents hated one another and took it out on him. And Arabella, how could her own father hate her when he is the one that knocked up a sorceress and had a kid that was magical? How can parents blame their kids for their mistakes? And Felix pulls Arabella out of her shell, the one she erected to survive her homeland. He helps her come into herself. And she teaches him to love. One of my fave beauty and the beast retellings.

great Read

Wonderful story along the lines of Beauty and the Beast. Loved the magical aspects especially when the palace anticipates their needs. Would have loved an epilogue!
