This is a cute little Christmas novella. Basically exactly like the kiss quotient, just a little Christmas-ey. The characters are sooo cute but be warned this is 17+

This was such a cute story! Even though it was a novella, it didn't feel too rushed. And of course it's a semi-ridiculous premise: two friends have to share a bed because there's a snowstorm and the power is out at her place and at his place the heater routinely stops working. But Jackie Lau GOES FOR IT because then the first time you meet the hero, he's in one of those inflatable T-Rex costumes. Then you find out the costume is part of his gig dancing to Christmas music performed by an elderly barbershop quartet. Seriously. It's so adorable and ridiculous and fun.

Sure, Caitlin struggles with perfectionism and Wes struggles with feeling inferior, but neither drags the story down at all. It makes for just a perfect little Christmas fun that I'll definitely re-read around the holidays each year (or just when I feel like a sweet Christmas story).

3.5 stars. Totally adorable, and fluffy novella. This pulled off a realistic friends to lovers plot in a small package. I thought the writing was less smooth than Lau’s books usually are, but the final scenes were hilarious which made up for a lot. Wes is a great beta hero, with lots of goofiness and baking skills. I appreciated that Catlin is unapologetically competent at work, and vulnerable in her dating life without being too hard on herself.

A great Christmas read! This was such a sweet novella. I was worried it would seem incomplete since it’s so short but it has everything a romance needs. I love a friends-to-lovers romance, especially when the characters have a long-established friendship. It works especially well in a short novella since it’s more realistic that they would fall for each other so quickly. I really liked Caitlin but Wes was my favorite with his dinosaur costume. I will say the conflict felt manufactured and out-of-character at the end. But that section didn’t last long and I still really enjoyed the book. If you are looking for a Christmas romance then One Bed for Christmas is a good choice!

It’s winter in the Southern Hemisphere so Christmas stories have a special appeal. And this got me my first bingo for the Ripped Bodice 2020 bingo card.
This is a near perfect little Christmas novella. The characters have known each other for a long time so the quick development isn’t a problem. It’s funny, it’s sexy, it’s festive.

This was super cute. It's the third thing I've read by Lau, and I think the short format works better, because there's about the same amount of development and not time for the extended drama llama breakup climax. Sheer Christmas fluff.
