I personally loved this book. It was very good for the style of writing and the genre that it was aiming after. It was very similar to the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, except this one had more diverse character personalities, which I found to be more enjoyable.

This was one of those classic, Southern, "coming-of-age" books. The characters were vivid and the plot tight and well done, I just felt it moved a little too slow in places. However, it was a pretty good read.

This story reminded me of one of my favorite books, Gilda, which I read as a kid. I wish I still had that book to read it again so I can remember of what I was reminded. I enjoyed the private garden too.
I would recommend this book to nearly all my freshmen girls.

Teen drama done well, to the point of being delicate and poignant. Beautifully written.

Three very different girls bond and become friends while working for a summer at a peach orchard. There were some sweet moments in this book, and Anderson does a good job of depicting the atmosphere of small town Georgia. But the girls themselves seemed like they could each be described in a few words and the boy subplot, where one girl gave her boyfriend to another after said boyfriend fell for the other girl, was completely irritating. Just once, I'd like to see two girls who like the same boy leave the boy behind and put their friendship first.

I enjoyed this short and sweet romance novel. This book is a perfect beach romance novel or a short novel to read in between denser text. This book has helped me get out of a reading slump. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Marie Long.
