Cozy comfort book about a girl just making friends and people just trying to love her - There's something that makes me smile and giggle at this series that I love

Not a whole lot going on in this one. The sports day stuff didn't really interest me and the trip to take novelty photos wasn't that exciting either. Neither of the new characters introduced were developed enough for me to get a feel for them. The end of the book was very cute, though.

I picked this up as part of my continuation of the series.
"Komi Can't Communicate, Vol. 4" continues to follow Komi and her friends as she tries to make 100 friends. It is now summer vacation, and Komi and the gang want to do something fun together. Unfortunately, Komi quickly learns that just because she might have friends, does not mean nothing bad or awkward will happen.
This installment was very okay for me, but kind of feels unmemorable. I am still rooting for Komi, and hoping she gets to continue to enjoy having friends, but I am not 100% invested in the plot.
I will likely continue with this series.

I'm going to be honest, I'm starting to tune out the newer characters introduced (such as Netsuno and Inaka) because I think the central cast is solid and I straight up don't care about newer characters. That being said, I wouldn't say that either of these newbies are bad, just not as interesting as our main cast.

I loved this volume, especially the sports festival and the chapter dedicated to Komi's day in the house. The humor is strong, the characters are fun, the dynamic between the characters continues to be the strong point of this series, and the gags (while repetitive) are still enjoyable. Glad I stuck with this series, can't wait for volume 5!
