It took me three tries to get into this book. I tried it once in my teens, once in my twenties, and finally tackled it again in my late 30s and got through it. I think it might be one of those books that you don't fully get until you're closing in on middle age. It's one of those classics that I'm glad I read and thought was okay, but I didn't love it.
