Some general good advice in here (don't forget about having friends just because being a mom makes you busy, etc), but at times it felt condescending. I think it's worth the read for new moms, if only for the reminder that spending time with your kid is more important than cleaning the house.
Read this as part of a homeschool mom book club. I listened to an impressive interview with the author beforehand and feel like I gleaned as much from the 40 minute interview as I did from this entire book.
I expected more data as the author boasts being a pediatrician driven by data as well as observation. Her habits were created mostly out of anecdotal evidence.
I did find two chapters to be quite beneficial, “Know Your Value” and “Say No to Competition”.
Not on my top list of self-help books for mothers.

This was a nice read. Nothing groundbreaking, but optimistic and uplifting.
I didn't enjoy her writing style but there were so good take aways.
Too slow, a little dated. The attempted humor in an effort to be relatable didn't appeal to me.
Sound, sensible advice. Well written. Highly recommend to all moms.

While the habits mentioned are good, this 10 hour audiobook could have been condensed to the length of a magazine article. The rambling anecdotes, bizarre commentary, and rabid generalizations left me thinking that this author really needed a good editor. I considered adding it to my DNF pile, but instead I listened on triple speed just to get through it. I would hate for any other busy moms to waste their time slogging through this book when they could just read the Table of Contents.
