This book was good. Although I know the repeated mention of weight and BMI was meant to show the characters analytical approach I found it a bit uncomfortable and it could be upsetting to people who struggle with body image or eating disorders.

A very sweet story though a key character's transformation took place a little hurriedly. This kind of thing is not surprising for a romance, but did throw off my enjoyment a bit. Don is a complex and relatable character and Rosie doesn't get quite as much depth, but she's a good match for him.

I’ve had this book on my shelves for a while and I’m so glad to have finally read it.

Don is unknowingly on the spectrum. He’s smart, he’s scheduled, and he’s picky. He needed someone like his friend Gene to show him exactly what NOT to do in a relationship, someone like Claudia to give him blunt but valuable advice, someone like Dave to be a normal friend, and someone like Rosie to knock his entire world off balance.

He doesn’t need to fit into the “goofball” or the “nerd” stereotype. He can be himself and anyone worth keeping around will love him for who he truly is.

While this was a light-hearted read, I can't get on board with stereotyping traits of Asperger's as fun, funny, inspiring, etc. The main character seems somewhat self aware and likes to gather information, but is undiagnosed? I find that strange. That being said, it was quick and the characters had some endearing traits.

I would read this book again - and that's something I rarely ever do. The love story is enjoyable and believable. I appreciate that the conflict isn't superficial or based on situational misunderstandings as so many romance novels are prone to do. The resolution is satisfying while not oversimplifying the issues that the protagonist and his love interest face.
