idk why this book has such a high rating because ITS SO BAD. so many badly done pop culture references, weird nicknames, and the way the friends talk to each other is simply ridiculous. actually all of the dialogue was crazy. also the cat being such a big plot point was really weird. and finally, what do you mean you’re embarrassed to admit you like someone, YOU ARE TWENTY-SEVEN… GROW UP

The female characters were insufferable. I read a lot of cheesy poorly written hockey romances but even I have limits. The 4 female friends of the MCs talked about NOTHING but sex. I’m a seasoned smut reader but, like, these women were AWFUL.
“Everyone for Coochie Gang: The Chamber of Secrets, say “I suck cock”” Is a real line. That’s how they talk. All the time.
Have you no shame? Have you no pride? Have you no dignity? These women had no substance other than being obsessed with sex. These characters were reduced to sex-dolls. They are how I imagine a p*rn director writes women. Nothing but objects of sex.
