4.75⭐️ Forced Proximity, NHL x Photographer, Interracial Couple, Friends with Benefits, Found Family

BECKA MACK DID IT AGAIN! I could not read this book fast enough, I loved it that much!

The entire dynamic and plot of this story hit its mark with me. Jaxon having this “player” persona & being a man who doesn’t do love, romance or feelings in any aspect of his life was so refreshing to dive into. More so, Lennon, being a strong fmc who had a shitty past relationship but doesn’t let it stop her from going for what and who she wants / deserves.

Jaxon and Lennon just created such a beautiful foundation that I forgot this was a fictional story and not my real life friends. Plus, the heavy inclusion of the past characters just aided in this idea of Jaxon struggling to accept love from anyone.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

1.75/5🌶️
Jaxon has been booted by so many NHL teams he doesn't think he will last in Vancouver, yeah everyone loves him, but he doesn't believe, he doesn't think he's worthy.
Lennon left her fiance the day before their wedding because he cheated on her and still went on her honeymoon trip by herself, that's where she meets Jaxon, they bang for one magical night and they think they will never see each other again, until the start of practice for the team, where Lennon got a job and Jaxon plays. then Lennon's apartment floods and she needs a place to crash and Jaxon just brings her home
Jaxon and all the men in this series are the sweetest thing ever.

this book was SO GOOD. i felt so much. i do think it could’ve been a bit shorter but god. also i cried so much????? like the way i started crying when he poured his heart out to the boys, sobbing when bryce’s parents showed up and i was WAILING when sarah said she was getting adopted. wtf. i wasn’t expecting this.
