Enemies to lovers
FMC who can stand up for herself
Shadow mummy
Say no more. This book had me obssessed from the start and I devoured in a couple of days. I loved the developement of the characters and the story between Enzo and Elara.
It’s fast paced and action packed with O’Leary of drama to keep you guessing throughout.

Need to noodle with my thoughts more. I liked it but it wasn’t amazing. I was excited about the concept, but the story and characters felt underdeveloped. For example, Elara spends the whole book training everyday but it’s just brushed over when the “fight scenes” occur. The structure becomes repetitive and the “twists” forced. Something really bad happens, there’s no way out, then suddenly Elara saves the day with her extra reserve of power. I also feel like they brush over her whole kingdom being destroyed. Also, what happened to Lucas? I did appreciate the yearning between Enzo and Elara; although, at the end their refusal to be together got annoying. I also feel like the side characters weren’t really developed. Leo just pops in and out. Idk.
this is barely a 3. found it long and boring. what am i missing? lots of people seemed to like this book.
didn't care for the world, skimmed parts just to get through, writing was fine
people think this girl is dead. but really she's been hiding out nearby and learning to use her powers. there's a guy and they slow burn fall in love and stuff happens. can't even remember the ending
