Honestly more of a 2.5 The characters didn't seem like themselves, they were very annoying to read about. Everything felt a little off and didn't feel like the sequel to Rebel Bell. I seriously didn't enjoy this book. Also, if this is the ending to the series, that is complete bullshit.

I'm not really that impressed with the first book, [b:Rebel Belle|8475505|Rebel Belle (Rebel Belle, #1)|Rachel Hawkins|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1371650817s/8475505.jpg|13340323] (3 stars). It was just too shallow on the fantasy and I just don't really care about the characters BUT it was funny and it's enjoyable enough for me. In Miss Mayhem, the same things occurred but slightly worse. In this book, the fantasy aspect was totally loss. I felt like reading a full contemporary novel and I just can't feel anything between Harper and David. This one also didn't live up to the first one and the plot, ugh, nothing really happened. There was still several funny moments but it lost its complete spark. I guess this series isn't really for me and I don't exactly hated David but am I the only who still want Ryan for Harper?

I listened to this on audio since I enjoyed the first book in the way one enjoys a fluffy teen fantasy novel. Unfortunately, this one just didn't do anything for me. It dragged from page one and there really wasn't much of a conflict or action. The ending was a welcome, dull finish that would have made me mad if I were the least bit invested, but it just left me relieved that it was over. Disappointing.

:\ I'm not sure if some things were just very poorly explained or we'll get more information in the next book, but the last scene with Alexander was frustrating and just. Gah. I'm glad there is only a couple months til the next book comes out so I can see if things are fleshed out a bit more there.

I didn't love this as much as Rebel Belle. Unfortunately to me, it felt like a filler book. Though it still had that light hearted feeling, with a side of action, that I really enjoyed!

4 stars. This was one of my most anticipated releases of this year, but I'm afraid I had too high hopes for it. It wasn't bad, but I felt like it could have been so much more! There were some scenes that seemed unnecessary, and I was upset at the typical YA situation where a couple isn't telling each other anything, then they fight and make it complicated for no reason, and then break up. The last few chapters I thought were really good! They were quality chapters, and actually felt like a continuation of Rebel Belle, if that makes any sense.

I'd be lying if I said my favorite part about this series wasn't David Stark. Never have I wanted a fictional character to be real and date me (with the exception of Wesley Ayers) more than now. I LOVED his character in this book, and I really hope we'll get to read from his POV sometime. Harper was still consistent character-wise, but while I found her personality likable in Rebel Belle, it was more annoying in this book to me.

Rachel Hawkins' writing is still fantastic, but that ending though. Why??? It was just starting to get good, and then ahhhh...I don't want to wait for the next book! I honestly have no idea what to expect, but as long as David's involved, I'm sticking with this series ;)
