This book totally missed my expectations. Characters were annoying... But it really feels like home for some reason. So I love it anyway.

I really enjoyed this book, and I'm excited to read the next one now! I was kind of hesitant about reading this series at first, since it was hyped up a lot on Tumblr, but I ended up giving it a shot (obviously) and I'm glad I did. I like reading about fucked up people and fucked up relationships and so this was evidently a good choice for me. I don't think it's quite worth five stars because it wasn't written well enough for that and in a few places I found myself a little confused, having to Google things or ask others who'd read the books to clarify one or two things. But really enjoyable anyway, and next up: The Raven King.

Soooo, this book is absolutely unhinged and crazy... but I kinda loved it? I don't even know how to explain.

When I started this book, I had absolutely no idea what it was about, or even what genre it was. All I had to go on was that it was sports related. And man, I was not ready for what was to come lmao.

To be honest, the beginning was pretty rough, the writing felt stilted, I had to reread certain paragraphs because things were so oddly phrased, and I actively disliked pretty much everyone, but at some point all of that changed.

The writing picked up and started to flow better, we learned more about the characters, and I just became invested in Neil and the team's success. I felt horrible for Kevin and what happened to him, and somehow Andrew actually grew on me. Best of all, I feel myself starting to ship some of the characters, which is when you know that I'm officially a fan hahaha.

Even though this book is kind of problematic and has some very toxic and unbelievable moments, I'm here for it. I'm excited to start the sequel, because I need to know what'll happen next.

A lot fucked up. A lot entertaining. Definitely NOT a romance but I did enjoy the hell out of it nevertheless.
