This guy is Pinocchio. He starts the book with a total of five feelings ever in his life and treating people like they're property, then suddenly he's a real boy? All because he unwittingly falls in love even though he doesn't know what love is? Sorry, but no. Is a shame that Cassandra is so sweet because she deserves better than this guy.

2 stars. I can’t say I absolutely loathed this book (loathing is worth a 1 star review), but it was objectively truly very bad, so it’s a 2 star review.

I enjoyed this. And it feels nice to see how earlier books weave into this one.

I sense the author tries to reflect neurodivergent traits in the MMC.

Glad we didn’t have melodrama or bedridden patients. The brief episode of a fight and head injury was enjoy. It doesn’t really dwell on the underlying story of a man enslaving children to his profit.
