Made it to chapter 2 and was faced with full on explanation of heroines innermost hopes, dreams and insecurities. 

Make me work to understand the character man. We're all smarter than that.

I wanted to love this, and sorry to my bestie who recommended this one but I just couldn't completely lose myself in this one. The beginning, and plot, demands you suspend so much of reality to get into this world it took me too far out of it.  So much so that when Emmy and Maverick first get together, I didn't really understand or feel their supposed chemistry.

By the end however, I could see why they worked and really thought the proposal was cute - so I likely will continue the series.
