Sometimes there’s a series you just know you’ll love even before you read a single page. This series is definitely going to be that for me. Not even half way through the first one and I am HOOKED. I loved every character, side and main. The found family in this is the closest thing to Windy City, the series so close to my heart. With the perfect amount of hockey and romance, the banter, the storyline in general. ♾️ stars. No notes. I laughed, I cried, I’ve never highlighted so much in a book or literally laughed out loud so often. This is a “buddy read” that both of us blew through and I fully anticipate failing every other buddy read moving forward with this series. It’s worth all the hype and more ❤️

Easy fluffy cute read with no 3rd act breakup? Yes, please! 5 stars for the vibes and no stupidddddd miscommunication and drammaaaa!

I absolutely loved this book! What started as a buddy read turned into a buddy binge because my friend and I couldn’t put this book down. The characters were perfection. Emmy is what every little girls dreams to be and seeing her dream change to fit her makes you want to cheer her along. Maverick is book boyfriend. I don’t think any more even needs to be said. He is amazing and he absolutely deserves Emmy. I loved seeing all the side characters too. I feel like we have a good grasp of them already without it seeming like too much. I know there’s 3? other books in this series and I can already tell I will be binging them too.

The one thing I love about sports romance books is the found family aspect. This one was on another level because Emmy is also a player on the team, but I loved it so much more bc of that! I can't wait to explore more in this universe.

I enjoyed seeing Maverick break down Emmy's grumpiness and walls as they become closer and he is such a green flag MMC all around! Their communication level was so great, I absolutely hate books with a dumb miscommunication trope/3rd act breakup.
And I love a good group chat / personal texts in a book. It gives it more personality to the characters on page I think.
