Three Broken Promises is the third book coming from Monica Murphy in the series that follows the amazing One Week Girlfriend and Second Chance Boyfriend, and this time we focus on the lives and love of Fable’s friend and co-worker, Jen, and their boss Colin.

This is typical Monica NA fabulous and I didn’t realise how much I missed this gang until I started reading this book, but once I got going I really didn’t want to let them go again so I’m now even more excited for Owen’s book. But for now, we have these wannabe lovers who don’t half like to make things difficult for themselves.

My feelings are pretty mixed for this pair. On one hand, they have both been through so much that they truly, truly deserve happiness and you know from the start – heck, we knew from when we very first met them in Drew and Fable’s books – that they would make each other happy and that they belonged together. But they seem to have a habit of letting their troubled pasts rule their present and at times it was so frustrating!!!! I just wanted to bang their heads together and force them to admit their feelings for each other.

“So. Do you feel the same? Or are you just stringing her along?”
“I-”
“If you say ‘I don’t know,’ I swear to God, I will knee you in the balls.” – Fable to Colin.

I absolutely could not have said it better than Fable did right then. She makes a few appearances in Three Broken Promises, and she’s still the same feisty, out-spoken girl we met and loved almost a year ago! We briefly get to see dreamy Drew again also, but this book is mainly just Jen and Colin.

Although as I said before, their relationship was frustrating, it wasn’t always that way. When I wasn’t pulling my hair out, I was fanning myself from the overload of complete and utter hotness, swooning incredibly hard and falling in love with these great characters created by the amazing MM.

I just want to lean over the center console and press my lips to hers. Steal her thoughts, steal her heart. Like she’s done to me.- Colin.

Filled with emotion, drama, red-hot sex, intensity, and a love may as well have been written in the stars, Three Broken Promises is another must read from Monica Murphy.

I loved the first two books in this series but I just couldn't connect to Colin and Jen. This is a complete book with HEA but I still felt things were missing and unresolved. I will continue with the series and am looking forward to the upcoming novella and Owens story.

Will you all hate me when I say that I think I like Colin and Jen better than I like Drew & Fable?

There was just something about their story that drew me in a little deeper. I'm a sucker for brothers-best-friend-in-love-with-little-sister stories apparently.

I rather enjoyed the back and forth of Colin letting his feelings for Jen show then pulling back because she was "off-limits". It provided just enough angst to keep the story interesting while not being overly dramatic.

I am over the top crushing on Jen because I really think that despite her insecurities about her past she is a really strong woman who knows who she is and what she wants. I was so glad to see her just lay it all out there for Colin that she wanted him but at the same time making sure that he knew she needed her independence. I just wish that she had been more forthcoming with him from the beginning.

I do feel like their story ended rather hurriedly and I could have probably stood for another few chapters, just because I couldn't get enough of them but overall I REALLY enjoyed this book!

I loved this book! I loved it just as much (if not more) than Drew and Fable's book. I thought Colin and Jen were so good together and I adored the way he wanted to take care of her! There was plenty of angst and PLENTY of steam! Once I started it, I didn't want to put it down, and I also enjoyed seeing Drew and Fable so much in the book.

I Can. Not. Wait. for Owen's book--I have a feeling it will be the best of the bunch! I highly recommend Three Broken Promises and ALL the books of the Drew + Fable series--they really need to be read in order or you'll miss out!
