“The only time I ever want to see a grown man on his knees in front of me, Nate, is when his face is between my legs. So no, I don’t want you to beg me.“

This was an amazing read which I would have devoured in three days if I was not planning to go on a trip. I was able to finish it in Japan and happy to find out why it’s a popular booktok/bookstagram read! It did not disappoint because I was laughing, swooning, learning and falling in love with how Anastasia and Nathan are as a couple. A match-made in heaven, definitely.

Must be something about an enemies to lover that makes me root for them so much more. All the banters and especially when their friends (specifically the roommates) join in on the funny moments. You can’t help but be jealous of their friendship that will for sure go on for years. Also, the author is out there cooking a book specially for Henry, our bb!

The sexual content was also on point. Compared to erotica books out there, this is mild. Hannah balanced out the smutty scenes with the non-smutty scenes perfectly. The smut scenes were just the right amount of details and to be honest, not really the plot. It’s literally there to spice it up so much which I’m sure I’m not the only one who loved it.

10/10 will recommend to people who’s looking for a good book with smut content.

This book was pretty solid. I loved Anastasia and Nathan as a couple. I also really appreciated how careful Nathan was to make sure Anastasia really wanted to be with him. I wish I could pinpoint why this isn't a 5 star read for me, but in general I think there were a lot of secondhand cringe moments that I really struggled with. Overall though, I don't doubt that I'll eventually re-read this.

THIS BOOK!!! this book, which I read twice in a couple months, was one of my favorite book i've read this year. This book is pratically only character driven, but it was so well done. I loved every fucking character in this book exept for Aaron cause he was an asshole. Anastasia was both the sunshine and the grumpy in this book. She was so energetic at times but also so intensely grumpy with Nate, well at least in the beginning. Ryan and Stassie's relationship was also pretty cute until Nate joined the show lol. I would have shipped them together if  Nate wasn't a fucking God. Nate Nate Nate. I know he is a man written by a woman but god why did he have to be so perfect. A kind of fuck boy cinnamon roll hot hockey player with a heart of gold. How do you get a better man than this? Than there's their relationship building which was so cute and fun... and smutty as hell. The uber scene, like wtf. They challenged each other in such a fun way. The halloween costume...The head that started it all.. The kitchen scene (thanks to sasha for interrupting it)!! In addition to this beautiful relationship creation, there was also the building of a new friend group. JJ, Henry, Lola and Robbie were all fucking amazing. Henry was so fucking cute and sweet. I wish I had read a book about Lola and Robbie because they seem to have had such a great relationship start. I connected to almost everyone in this book, which is pretty rare. The diversity was also really nice to see. From JJ's ethnicity and sexuality, to Robbie's handicap, to Anastasia's therapy sessions, the representation was there. Concluding this long review, this book had my heart from the first chapter and it will stay one of my favorite book (+ author) of all time.

So fun

Someone asked me on the bus if I was reading ice breaker and she was so giddy, gushing about how much she liked the book.

Not a slow burn!

I'll admit that I came into this book with low expectations , because of booktoks habit of hyping up books with sex scenes in them regardless If they're actually good books are not, But this one? This one was amazing. I don't think there's really a single part of this book where I wasn't satisfied with the way it went.

I love the way the romance was handled. I love the way the book doesn't try to toss in a whole bunch of sports information when it's not necessary for this story.  I love the communication my god I love the communication , it's very rare to see in romance books. I love the friendships, Love the non toxic sports friend group , They were gonestly one of the best parts of the story without overpowering the main couple.  I fell in love with everyone,  especially Henry , hopefully we get a book on him. I love how the FL's friendships and problems were handled. Her inner monolgue perfectly portrayed someone who had a therapist and I love that.
my one gripe would be that I wish they'd adopted like she planned , that would've been really sweet story wise considering her back<\spoiler>

And the sex scenes? Extremely detailed but great to read .  Not cringey at all to me . And consent !!! with full communication throughout!! So rare to see sometimes.

Read the book. If you were on the fence about this story , I swear to you you'll enjoy it in some form. High praise to the author , can't wait to start on the next book in the series.
