There was so much hype surrounding this book, but I was so disappointed.

There were too many characters with too-elaborate backstories, making this hard to follow. The writing was generally good, but there were too many sub-plots for my taste.

What really ruined it for me was the epilogue. I was really disappointed with how the book ended and felt it was very out-of-character.

Worthy of the hype for the smut content alone. I had a silly goofy fun time and will be reading every other book in this series.

not seeing Anastasia’s solo career is a miss on the authors part. She gains all of this confidence via her man but it would have been so much more interesting to see her do it for a career that is entirely reliant upon herself. The public non-consensual kiss was visceral to read and if it *needed* to be included, it should have happened with more than 20 odd pages left in the book to see some of Anastasia’s growth and processing which we were granted for much less severe plot points.

The story was cute, but there was definitely some things that annoyed me throughout.

Enjoyed:
Any scene with Anastasia and Nate being cute and couple-y.  She’s a smartass and he loves it.  She needs someone to take care of her and he is ready to do it.

Anastasia’s relationship with the other hockey guys, esepecially Henry.  He is so sweet and blatantly honest.  Protect him at all costs.  I totally understand wanting to marry him, in a completely unromantic way.

Annoyed:
Anastasia’s relationship with Aaron. It wouldn’t have annoyed me so much if it didn’t last until the very end of the book.  Aaron is a complete piece of shut, no redeeming qualities.  The scene at the competition crossed too many lines.

I absolutely loveddd this and really enjoyed it overall but some of the stuff in the third act/last 10-20% of the book bothered me and reduced it a bit
I can’t put my finger on exactly what it was that bothered me but I think it was a combination of too many things going on at the end that weren’t really fully wrapped up, her ending up pregnant which was just unnecessary and also a bit frustrating since it clearly at least temporarily ends her pro skating career and also contradicts them talking about adoption, and just generally the whole thing with Aaron was so long and at some point it just became too much and started annoying me a bit - I also generally agree with the reviews talking abt how it’s too long cause I think a lot of these issues could’ve been solved by making it a bit shorter.

Was good overall but had a lot of sexual content and unrealistic storylines. Lovable characters for sure.

Too much filler and not enough plot to balance well. But also a new plot point hitting every few chapters with minimal resolution. We never got more info on Aaron’s actions. Half of the storyline in the book description didn’t happen until 50% in, which is bizarre.

Started off well but ended up being a rage finish to be able to stop reading the book.
