was curious about what they pulled for the rom-com. insightful and strange, extremely accurate and caring in some cases, and batshit in others. had so much fun reading this.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! Talk about an empowering book for women. I can't exactly say that I have had an extensive dating life. To be honest, until a few weeks ago i hadn't even been asked out on a date by someone i wasn't already in a serious relationship with. But i have had my fair share of "flings". Looking back, I realized that these "flings" were really guys who were "just not that into me". This book has given me a whole new perspective on the value of a woman. I recommend it for every woman out there. It is ok for someone to not want to call you back. It is ok for someone to not want to see you after a first date. Who cares. Don't chase them, it is beneath you. Find someone who wants to spend every waking minute with you and thinking about you. Who can't wait to call you and take you out for a picnic on the beach. It's better to be single than to be stuck in a crappy relationship that will end up just leaving you feeling worse about yourself to begin with. Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!

Short, sweet, accessible, and no bullshit. Helps recalibrate your “gut check”, and gently (and not-so-gently) reminds you why you shouldn’t be settling for the absolute least (because, you’re great and deserve greatness).

My co-workered referred to Greg (the author) as my "patron saint," and, for better or for worse, he's right. Greg has become the voice in my head when it comes to guys, mainly because he's always right. I wish this book had been around when I was younger, though it has become very useful in my 20's.

This is a book I constantly pick up again, just to refresh my memory, and just to feel a little bit better when I'm feeling down ("Don't Waste the Pretty"). It's funny, it's honest, and it's always right.

This has def been on my TBR for a long time. We know all of this when we’re out of a relationship and giving friends advice. But whenever we’re lost in love then we forget these things. Good to have for a little reminder on things we make excuses for. Whether you’re in a relationship or not, still a good one to check out.
