Finally something with a plot. The story was interesting from start to finish and unexpectedly sweet/sad. I loved the relationship between the bothers. The MC and ML are both such green flags. This was just enjoyable. The ending felt like it came too soon, but otherwise I have no complaints. The side story was adorable.

I LOVE THEM YOUR HONOR
super well written!! the way everything was tied together was so good. the plot is so gripping i literally would care less about the relationship development😭 which was the main reason i was interested in reading in the first place.
speaking of the relationship, the development of the leads were almost nonexistent. i see no reason as to why they would be attracted to each other (aside from "oh, he's handsome/interesting." and what else.) or just date each other that fast. kinda disappointing, as i expected the romance development to be as great as the plot. it's literally just that out of nowhere they date each other (i was so surprised whenthe male lead suddenly started questioning his feelings for the main character?? like when did we get here...) yet the author doesn't give us a reason why they would like each other.
beside the main relationship, the relationship between the brothers were the main reason i rated this an almost 5 stars. i'm not gonna say much about this, you'll know what i mean when you read this LOL
oh and the art style? so, so cute!!!
all aside, i'm keeping an eye out for their future stories.

I had so much fun reading this. Cho Yoon-jae (MC) and Goh Beom-jin (ML) meet when GBJ moves into the same apartment and CYJ had the bad luck of having a stubborm charm that lures ghosts tied around his wrist. Unable to remove the charm, their only solution was to work together with CYJ luring ghosts out and GBJ removing them from the mortal world.
I liked how their relationship developed as they spent more time together, busting ghosts and solving problems. Their had a lot in common which made their interactions easy and they genuinely cared for and about each other. They understood each other and their relationship was quite fluffy overall. Romance isn't at the forefront of the story and I didn't mind it at all because the plot was so entertaining.
There were a bunch of small stories hanging together under an overall arc and one of these stories actually made me cry because it was so sad- Byung-hak and Dong-nam 😭 both minor characters had found closure at the end of the small story but it still made me weep - and the other small stories were all well-written too. Each small story added to the overall plot and brought CYJ and GBJ closer. The way the author weaved the stories and myths together were so good and I enjoyed it a lot.
I liked the supporting characters a lot too, such as Cho Yoo-min (CYJ's older brother), Goong-baek (divine tiger that lost its powers and became a talking tabby cat), Li-Gong (son of a dragon), Yeom-ra and King So-byol and the goblins. Their dynamics and interactions with the main characters added more depth and dimension to the story. This is especially true for the relationship between the brothers CYJ and CYM, and the complicated relationship between CYM and YR.
These 2 relationships in particular were written with a lot of nuance, more than the romantic relationship between CYJ and GBJ, due to the nature and length of the relationships that spanned more than a millennium.CYJ had always loved his older brother, so much so that he would give CYM his life force in order to save him, but of course CYM was heartbroken instead. And although CYJ willingly saved his older brother, CYM partially blamed YR for not stopping CYJ. And it's because YR was obsessed with keeping CYM by his side. It didn't start out that way but as an unbearably lonely creature, when CYM told YR that he would stay, YR became determined to do whatever it took to forever hold onto his CYM. CYM and YR made a great pair for doomed yaoi, even if the author hadn't intended it. That scene where CYM could finally kill YR but couldn't, and instead YR took hold of CYM's sword and plunged it into his own neck? My god, it was riveting and full of angst. CYM and YR were really interesting and complex characters and maybe in another life they could be good friends.
The other supporting characters were there to add humour and keep the tone of the story light. The way CYJ and GB (the "cat") bickered was hilarious, like they're so stupid sometimes (endearingly). And I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud when CYJ interacted with Li-Gong and King So-byol when they were in disguise. The small stories involving these 2 supporting characters were so funny. The way CYJ threw KSB whenever he had the chance was so ridiculous, and the way CYJ reacted whenever he saw a disgusting creature was so real, like he didn't care whether he was being rude or not.
Overall there is a good balance of all the requirements to make a good story, in my opinion, and I am definitely interested in reading more of this author's works.
