Alexandra is quite literally a pioneering feminist. A lovely, character-driven novel. I only wished for more resolution between Alexandra and two of her brothers as well as a greater sense of place.

Poetic, reflective, and deeply emotional. I enjoyed the humor and the strong female lead. I loved all the descriptions of nature, and Alexandra's connection to the land. Beautifully written and a quick read.
