Nope, nope, nope. "Fall on Your Knees" was like trying to wade through quicksand. It started with a promise, but the further I got, the more I wished I had taken a nap instead. A hard pass on this one.

An epic soap opera of imperfect people living imperfect lives. The plot was definitely intriguing though, and kept me reading until the very end.

Haunting and deeply beautiful. A voice similar to John Irving, but unquestionably unique. A worthwhile read.

Jesus Christ I’d be like “surely this is how the book ends” and there would be 200 more pages

C'est un roman de 701 pages et j'en aurais tout de même pris plus!
Excellent et très émouvant!

Beautifully written, but I found this book slow going as the characters were fairly unlikeable to me. I came to like Frances and Lily, and even Mercedes in the second half.
