I read this book so much when I was a kid, I'm just gonna mark that I read it in 2010 because I can't remember when I actually read it last.

What a beautifully reassuring book for young bunnies.

I don't remember how I felt about it as a kid, but I love it as a pre-school teacher. I love how every other page is a beautiful two-page color painting.

La traducción española es tan bonita como el texto original.

This book is as sweet as I remember it! I can’t remember the last time I read (or was read) this book, but I think it must have been when my youngest sister was 5 or younger. Soooo several decades! The illustrations alternate between black and white line drawings and full color spreads. The message is that your parent will always be there for you, no matter how far you go or what you become. This isn’t always the case in real life, but it is a comforting dream. Lots of nostalgia for this book!

I like the message of the book, but just reading about a baby’s constant desire to get away from his mother, no thanks. Not here for that.

Gabriel loves this book. We've read it several times since getting it at the library Monday or Tuesday. Today, he "read" it to me, complete with the requisite tacklepouncehug at the appropriate spot! LOL I think this is going to be a keeper!

I read this to the three-year-old in our household and she immediately asked me to read it again, and then again. She loves to push boundaries and it appeared that far from being annoyed by the steadfast sureness of the mother’s pursuit of her little boy no matter where he imagined flying off to, she was clearly pleased and commented on the story as we read it the third time and pointed at the pictures describing what was happening. She loved it, and so do I.
