Another incredible thriller from Alex North, I liked this one pretty much as well as the Whisper Man. The story was incredibly depressing but the way the mystery unfolded was so well written and had me so engaged when the characters were in danger and dying to know what happened next. Highly recommend if you love a well written, fast paced, surprising thriller.

I love Alex North. The stories always keep me guessing, and this one was no different. There are so many ties and people, but all their stories come together beautifully, and it seems every character has a necessary tie into the story.

I can always count on Alex North for a spooky read!! The beginning of this book was SUPER slow for me, but it really picked up at the halfway point. I loved the way this story was structured and how the feeling of dread was present throughout the entirety of the book.

I struggled at the beginning of the novel to get into it. Idk if it was the week I was having or if it was the novel itself, but until I picked it up today at about 26%, I really wasn't drawn it. But today I really devoured it. This book definitely isn't as spooky ooky as North's other novels, but I still enjoyed it.
Alex North is one of my favorite authors - I have enjoyed all 3 of his other books I have read. That being said, I don't really remember his books? It almost adds to the appeal for me because I can reread them and its like the first time - everything is new and exciting.
