SO MUCH WASTED POTENTIAL. The author built up a super cool world that I was really excited to get into and then LITERALLY destroyed it. Had really interesting side characters and then didn’t explore them. Spent so much time on angst and not enough time developing a the main relationship. The wasted potential this book series had just breaks my heart.
I’m sure this book is for some people, but it was not for me. I did not really care about anyone in the story, and I don’t feel like there was consistent story telling throughout. While this one did end on kind of a cliff hanger I have zero desire to pick up the next one.
Amazing. Couldn't wait to start the 2nd book! Read all but 2 hrs in one sitting. Great retelling.
Loved this book! I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was AMAZING. It was a bit of a slow burn and not as gay as I wanted it to be but I still loved the story and immediately began listening to the second one.
