I am quite enjoying these K.L. Slater books lately! They are nice little reads with some good twists, and this one was no different. Of course I thought I had it figured out, but not quite, and then one final little twist at the very end!

I listened on Audible. I personally love stories that are told from multiple perspectives. This book was perfect. Just the right amount of characters and easy enough to follow the story. That twist was not expected at all. I was so shocked. I was driving and listening. I literally had to pull over and listen to the chapter again. I really enjoyed this book and would def recommend it.

I have always enjoyed a KL Slater book
This caught my attention because whoever would marry their son’s killer?! It just didn’t sit right with me so I had to know more of course!
This of course does not go down well with either family and unites Bridget and Tom deeper into their relationship.
Tom and Jesse were best friends from childhood and an altercation lead to Jesse’s death which Tom is sent to prison for.
The story follows the new found love between Tom and Bridget and uncovers some hidden stories of the past that led to Jesse’s death.
A pretty good read

Interesting plot. Thought there was going to be a bit more drama and twists so I was a little disappointed but overall not too bad.

This book had such promise and so much potential, and then it was thrown away and fell rather flat to me. The author had a possibility of a lifetime with this plot, had everything lined up for a gorgeous twist like no other, and then it turned out much like any other story of this kind. The final chapter made up for some of it, but not nearly enough for me to actually feel satisfied with the story, and in the end I'm rather disappointed in it.
I can't at all understand the amount of positive reviews it's gotten and I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
