The pacing of this book was very slow and I also have no inclination towards baseball. I loved the first book and so I really tried to connect with Liz and Wes again but they just felt so much more flat and stubborn and…somehow childish ? Even though they supposed to be older ? I did appreciate that Wes’ inner dialogue seemed more caring and less sexualizing than a lot of other romance male leads, and I did like Liz’s character and her passion for music and journalism. However the plot was so meh and obviously the leads were getting back together by the end, so I didn’t feel very invested and the book felt too long. I only read it because I liked the original book immensely.

This was enjoyable. I had a great time reading it, flew through the pages, and many aspects of it were outstanding, even.
I just can’t deal with all the random way too convenient situations and, most importantly, I can’t say that a book that is completely based around miscommunication and destroys what the previous book has built is very good. It's just simply silly.

I liked that book so much even more than the first book. I loved the way liz grew up actually and how she managed to make her life better, new friendships, two beautiful jobs. She had the right to be mad at Wes because of what he did but once everything was cleared she forgave him and gave him a second chance.
And for Wes I just want to say that he is such very good man and the way he loves her so much....OMG. He's so sweet. He's been through a lot and he was still worrying about her.
I can't wait to read the-do-over book 🕺💕
