This book is the reason I switched from mystery to horror: it sets up an eerie, dread-inducing vibe that implies a great evil, and then it follows through and delivers a climactic ending with an unspeakable horror. I was left very satisfied.

I loved the way the audiobook was done, but the story itself wasn’t for me. I thought i was going to love this, but i found the characters unengaging.

I liked the premise, but this just kind of dragged with so many POVs and the convoluted lore. Finding out what happened to Willow was intriguing, but it really didn't live up to what I thought it was going to be, and the entire book was just a little short of expectations.
