man the amount of racism... shakespeare wrote the play in a christian’s perspective in the 1600’s, viewing shylock as the villain JUST BECAUSE he’s a jew was just terrible .... shylock’s speech of humanity was my favorite part 👌🏼

Shylock's monologue about why he deserves the pound of flesh was very moving. Am I the only person who doesn't completely hate Shylock?
