the epitome of what i would never want to put myself through again! shitty characters, an appalling amount of anti-Semitism and an anticlimactic ending - what more could one ask for.

My favorite female Shakespeare character, Portia is in this play. I had a reference from Act III Scene 2 engraved in my husband's wedding band...the full text is: "one half of me is yours, the other half yours. Mine own, I would say, but if mine then yours"
