This was mostly stupid, i.e. environmental dementia, but it was also fun sometimes. Not fun enough to continue reading the series.

I really enjoyed this forbidden mafia romance. A quirky girl who speaks in bird-words catches the attention of the formidable Angelo (vicious) Visconti. Rory is such a loveable character who will stop at nothing to protect her father from the man she is being forced to marry. When Angelo comes back to town and sees Rory he can't shake the attraction he feels towards her. But they can't act on anything because she's engaged to his horrible uncle. Rory is plagued by her sins and Angelo works in the business of collecting sins and wants to know every single one of hers. I loved the banter between Angelo and Rory and am really excited to see their story continue.

Dude…. What the shit?
It started out okay, but unraveled at the seams pretty quickly! The FMC Rory.. Where do I even start??? This 21 year old woman child who calls herself a bad sinful girl that is so dark, so dark not even Jesus could wash away her sins. Do you wanna know what those “sins” are?? Cutting pockets on “bad” men’s jackets and keying their cars……… This woman… The naivety and  stupidity , the bird puns. Gah I can’t deal. She went on a whole ass tirade how men always want sexual favours from women and they are disgusting, but as soon as a dude she thinks is hot does it to her, she’s mooooore than willing to hand them out like candy??? Also Angelo… Who says shit like “I want to give you the world, as long as the world fits inside this house” WTF??? The story, well there’s barely a story, we don’t get much background on anything. But the end is a gods darned cliffhanger and I hate that cause I really don’t know if I want to continue this series 🥲 Were there a couple of good scenes and moments? Yes!! The tension between them at the start was pretty hot! But that’s about it 🙈

It was 3.5 stars but I just couldn't round it to 4.

While I like reading this book I just want more from them. Maybe more physical interactions. I felt like their problem were solve too quickly in the room. I also looking forward to showing instead of telling. I just want to experience it. Nevertheless, I'm currently reading the second book. Cannot wait to see the what's next
