This felt like a side adventure rather than one that moves along character or plot development. I did enjoy hearing about the Hysterics, the potato and the Doomfang, though!
I'm so obsessed with these books now...but for real the audiobooks are the greatest thing my ears have ever experienced.

I think this may be one of my favorite of the series so far. I loved Hiccup's bravery and vulnerability, and that twist at the end!
There were several things I really liked about this one: the wildly ridiculous way the ending came together; the way Hiccup is slowly growing up throughout the books; the epilogue; and the way the Venomous Vorpant kept sneaking it's voice in like a dark narrator.
Even though the movies/show are very different from the books I think they did an excellent job of keeping the spirit/character of Hiccup the same. You could definitely see this 10/11 year old Hiccup being the same 14 year old in the first movie, the same 22 year old in the second movie, and growing into the old man of the epilogues.

Táto séria sa mi asi nezmazateľne vryje do pamäti ako "čítanie v skúškovom období". Na také obdobie asi neexistuje nič lepšie - je to ľahké, vtipné čítanie, so super ilustráciami a vždy s nejakým posolstvom :) Hor sa na ďalší diel!
