It’s exciting to see Hiccup coming into his own. He seems to get braver and more clever with each book.
The amount of appreciation I have for these books is quite ridiculous. So many dragons. And this one was about potatoes. Sooooo good.
oh MAN I remember how stunned I was the first time I read that plot twist........ goodness gracious what a wild ride.
I loved seeing hiccup and camicazi's dynamic - and I LOVED seeing how much hiccup loves his friends :') toothless is a tiny terror and a dear, and I like him a trifle more, especially since the last book.

There were several things I really liked about this one: the wildly ridiculous way the ending came together; the way Hiccup is slowly growing up throughout the books; the epilogue; and the way the Venomous Vorpant kept sneaking it's voice in like a dark narrator.
Even though the movies/show are very different from the books I think they did an excellent job of keeping the spirit/character of Hiccup the same. You could definitely see this 10/11 year old Hiccup being the same 14 year old in the first movie, the same 22 year old in the second movie, and growing into the old man of the epilogues.

This was my favorite story in the series thus far, laden with heroic quests, a botched potato conquest, and an amusing, flu-induced bout of Tourette's.
[Four-point-five stars for being nearly perfect for what it was: An adventurous romp through a frozen world to save loyal best friends and unwittingly make a dragon-sized new one.]

This book series is a lot more... um... well... it's got its problems, for sure, but I love it so. This series was my Harry Potter before I read Harry Potter, warts and all.

Buku keempat dari serial How to Train Your Dragon ini mengisahkan petualangan Hiccup menyelematkan nyawa temannya, Fishlegg, yang terkena penyakit Kobraitis.
Menarik. Namun bagiku, hanya sebatas hiburan untuk anak-anak saja dan memberi pengetahuan baru tentang dunia viking.
