Hated this when I studied it in high school Philosophy, got considerably more of Descartes’ meaning when rereading as an adult. Partly age, partly having discovered religion in the meantime (not Descartes’ one, but close enough to be applicable), partly the joy of reading my own annotations and thoroughly disagreeing with my past self.

Very dry, very slow and difficult to get through, but so influential and foundational that you have to read it.
