Overall, Pinball, 1973 is a good read, if a bit unresolved feeling. Compared to [b:Hear the Wind Sing|226973|Hear the Wind Sing|Haruki Murakami|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1209948233s/226973.jpg|2902423], this book is probably the worse of the two because it lacks the feeling of purposeful directionlessness that made [b:Hear the Wind Sing|226973|Hear the Wind Sing|Haruki Murakami|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1209948233s/226973.jpg|2902423] so great without any added sense of narrative completion in exchange. Not that an incomplete narrative is necessarily a bad thing, nor the feeling of wanting to know more about the story. In fact these are often good things. However, Pinball, 1973 simply doesn't seem like a fully realized vision. It leaves you wanting more because it sets up a wonderful world for the story to take place in, but in the end the story doesn't stretch far enough to fit its world. Still, it might be worth the read if you're interested.

Tapi penasaran sih sama lanjutan ceritanya.

This is Murakami's second book and it's starting to establish his matter-of-fact perspective.

An incident hardly more momentous than a clothesline in the rain.
